WiT For Good is the social impact and outreach programme of WiT (Web in Travel).

Since 2008, WiT For Good has been guided by a simple belief that our industry could lift lives beyond the conference halls, growing into a movement that has raised nearly US$1 million for women and children across Asia.

Its flagship fundraising event is the WiT Charity Auction, held during the Closing Reception of the WiT Singapore conference – brought to life by the industry’s generosity; with local art, including donated artworks from the community, travel experiences sparking lively bidding, and industry leaders offering their time and wisdom in support of the cause.

Over the years, the programme has supported grassroots social enterprises in Indonesia, Cambodia, the Philippines, Myanmar, Japan, Vietnam, and Thailand –each driven by passionate individuals working to create meaningful change in their communities.

And with every contribution, we continue to champion the power of travel, community, and shared purpose to create lasting impact – moving ever closer to our mission of opening doors, expanding opportunities, and uplifting the lives across Asia.

This year, WiT For Good is proud to support Young Focus, a Philippine-based nonprofit that has been working in the squatter communities of Manila since 2008, including families living around the Smokey Mountain area, where many rely on the informal garbage trade to survive on less than US$10 a day.

Young Focus believes education is the most powerful tool to break the cycle of poverty. Through five core programmes — preschool, elementary-to-college support, catch-up education for school dropouts, social and family care, and career development — the organisation walks alongside underprivileged children and young people from their earliest years through to employment, helping them develop intellectually, emotionally, and psychologically along the way.

The results speak for themselves: nearly 2,000 children and youth are currently supported across Young Focus’s programmes, with dozens graduating from college and university each year, and many former dropouts completing elementary or high school through the Catch-UP programme — a second chance that changes the course of a family’s future.

By directing this year’s WiT Charity Auction proceeds to Young Focus, WiT For Good continues its mission of channelling the generosity of the travel industry into lasting, on-the-ground impact — helping more children in Manila and beyond realise their full potential.

In 2024 and 2025, we raised an estimated US$80,000 for Saab Shares, a not-for-profit organisation working to reduce poverty and support marginalised communities through children’s education, healthcare access, and women’s empowerment programmes. Thanks to our donors’ generosity, Saab Shares achieved transformative milestones across education, infrastructure, and child welfare in 2024 – and will continue advancing this mission with the support raised in 2025.
