Africa, where we begin our “Next 20” roadshow, is the latter.

Where infrastructure is still being shaped, and therefore free to leap beyond legacy systems. Where innovation is driven not by convenience alone, but by necessity, resilience and imagination.

ABOUT WiT AFRICA

WiT Africa was first launched as a virtual edition in 2021 to form a bridge between Africa and Asia, to share lessons and best practices across regions.

 

In 2024, WiT Africa was launched as a physical event, in partnership with Innovation City and Travelstart, to further strengthen that bridge between Africa, Asia and the rest of the world to unearth and share the latest innovations and trends happening in travel technology, distribution and marketing.

 

With Africa soon be the world’s biggest population at 1.72 billion by 2023 – and even more significant, 477 million of those will be young people, between 15 and 35 – it will without doubt rise to be a significant force shaping online travel.

 

WiT Africa, to be held at Innovation City in the beautiful city of Cape Town, will feature the who’s who of Africa’s travel tech industry leaders as well as top travel minds from Asia and beyond.
